Gold prices witnessed a downward adjustment in Hyderabad on Friday, with rates softening across all purity categories. As per the latest updates, the price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 9,551 per gram. The cost of 22-carat gold settled at Rs 8,755 per gram, while 18-carat gold was available at Rs 7,164 per gram.
Compared to the previous day’s prices, 24-carat gold fell by Rs 22 per gram. The 22-carat segment declined by Rs 20 per gram. In the case of 18-carat gold, a reduction of Rs 16 per gram was observed. A 10-gram quantity of 24-carat gold now costs Rs 95,510, while the same amount of 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 87,550. For 18-carat gold, the 10-gram price dropped to Rs 71,640.
In the past ten days, Hyderabad’s gold market has reflected a consistent change. On May 1, 24-carat gold was valued at Rs 9,573 per gram and 22-carat gold at Rs 8,775. April 30 saw prices at Rs 9,791 for 24-carat and Rs 8,975 for 22-carat. April 29 recorded Rs 9,797 and Rs 8,980 respectively. The highest rate for 24-carat gold during April was noted on April 22 at Rs 10,135 per gram, with 22-carat peaking at Rs 9,290.
In contrast, the lowest prices last month occurred on April 8, when 24-carat dropped to Rs 8,973 and 22-carat dipped to Rs 8,225. Over the full month of April, gold rates showed an overall upward movement, registering a rise of approximately 5.46 per cent in both 22-carat and 24-carat categories.
